Next-generation capabilities for emergency services

Emergency communication is becoming increasingly connected, flexible and intelligent. The 3020 LifeX™ system integrates mission-critical multimedia communication and collaboration in a user-friendly environment, connecting voice, radio and operational communications, and enabling organisations to evolve in stages.

Extending this connected environment beyond the fixed workstation, the LifeX Companion App brings selected call-handling and radio capabilities to Android mobile devices. Together with Automated Drone Dispatch and AI-supported LifeX Live Translation, LifeX supports the future of emergency communication.
The emergency call is changing
Move beyond voice without leaving proven operations behind

Although voice remains essential, modern operations are increasingly dependent on connected information, flexible access and intelligent support. The challenge lies in introducing new capabilities without disrupting trusted technologies and workflows.

LifeX provides the foundation for this transition, offering an open, resilient platform that connects communication and collaboration, while enabling new capabilities to be introduced progressively. Mission Critical Services (MCX) can extend mission-critical voice, video and data communications between the control room and frontline responders as operational needs evolve..

One connected conversation

Bring together voice, radio and operational communications in one mission-critical environment.
Mobile access

Extend the selected LifeX call-handling and radio workflows to locations beyond the fixed workstation.
Frontline collaboration

Use MCX to support mission-critical voice, video and data communication with responders.
Gain earlier situational insight

Use live aerial video to gain an early view of an incident.
More inclusive communication

Use AI-supported translation tools to help overcome language barriers.
Modernise step by step

Introduce new capabilities in line with operational priorities, ensuring continuity.

One call. One conversation across all media.

Move beyond a fixed, voice-centric control room to a flexible communication environment that can adapt to operational demands. LifeX unites communication and collaboration in a single, user-friendly interface, and the LifeX Companion App extends selected workflows to compatible Android smartphones and tablets.

It complements the LifeX system by enabling mobile call handling, radio talk-group communication, and straightforward call handover between the fixed workstation and mobile device.
Transformation made real: the ARFFS story

Airservices Australia’s Aviation Rescue Fire Fighting Service (ARFFS) is embarking on its next-generation journey with Frequentis technology. At Western Sydney International Airport, the LifeX and OnSite systems support a modern fire and rescue control environment by combining communication, messaging, incident and resource management, and crash-alarm workflows.

The operator workstation integrates radio, telephony, SMS and building management systems. When a crash alarm is activated, coordinated alerts are distributed across multiple channels to support rapid mobilisation.
See sooner. Understand faster. Act smarter.

The next generation of emergency communication goes beyond adding media channels. It brings new sources of information and operator-support capabilities into the control-room workflow.

Automated Drone Dispatch can provide an aerial view of an incident earlier on. LifeX Live Translation, an AI-supported language translation tool, can help operators communicate across language barriers.

Both capabilities are designed to support the people managing the response, providing relevant information while keeping qualified professionals at the centre of operational decisions.
The platform behind the connected response

LifeX is designed for mission-critical public safety communications and collaboration. Its software-based IP architecture supports the open integration of existing and future infrastructure.

Initially, LifeX can support established radio and telephony use cases, with additional media and capabilities being introduced according to operational priorities. The LifeX Companion App extends selected workflows to compatible mobile devices. LifeX also supports MCX, enabling mission-critical voice, video and data communication between control rooms and responders, while keeping MCX off centre stage.
What is your next step beyond voice?

Every emergency service operates in a different environment. The next step may involve mobile access, connected workflows, earlier drone imagery, live translation, or closer collaboration with frontline responders.

The Frequentis Australia Public Safety team has extensive local expertise in mission-critical public safety operations and can help you identify the right next steps and explore how LifeX can support your operational and modernisation priorities.
